IL models – critical comparison
So, despite how deeply I read into each of the models I still find it difficult to critically compare them in less than 750 words. There are many information skills models which have been developed in to define information literacy (IL) and propose stages for successful problem solving and research. Ive since discovered that the models have been designed for use in education for teachers and students and for use in a wider sense like as for general information searching and in the workplace (so it says). Ive decided to focus on these: the Information process (NSW Model), the Big6 (Eisenberg & Berkowitz, 1990) and Information search process [ISP] (Kuhlthau, 1989).
