Critical comparison between my experiences and a forum poster

A post from a peer reads........."I have not had a lot of luck accessing my schools TL role policy statement or any other library policies. I have an incredibly supportive principal of all the staff within the school but I feel that the current TL feels a little threatened by my studies".

This makes me really appreciate but empathise with my peer as I contrast my experiences in other schools (as a casual and temp). I too feel the influence that my studies are threatening to some of my colleagues but surprisingly not the current TL...perhaps because that its me :). Temp teachers at my school were not too happy when I landed the TL gig without being formally qualified and articulated there displeasure at the DET supporting me financially in achieving this qualification. HOWEVER, once I started putting my learning into practice and the advantages applied whole school their unspoken displeasure turned to articulated appreciation. Which gave me validy for my troubles.
