Similarities and differences....

OK SO, While the models are built on like assumptions, they have clear differences. Like what? Ummm the models themselves through their application of metacognitive strategies, how the key skills and knowledge are set up and scaffolding. All three propose metacognitive models which act as a formula for successful information seeking in a cyclic manner with steps designed for scaffolding by teachers and students in educational settings and on the principles of lifelong learning. Kuhlthau dedicates her work to adaptability to the workforce and similarly the Big6 and NSW model focus on the transference of key skills and knowledge that can be developed and adapted.
